    The Electricity Control Board has approved a 5% tariff increase. The approved Tariff Adjustment is effective from 1 July 2018.

    National Electricity Support Tariff (NEST)
    The NEST was developed by the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the ECB, to make basic electricity consumption more affordable through offering a subsidised tariff option. Phase 1 of the NEST will be rolled out as a pilot project in Oshakati in August 2017, ahead of planned national implementation in 2018.
